WELCOME!

This week, as we examine Mark 12:35 - 13:13, we find Jesus talking about the prophesied Messiah, the temple, offerings, and challenging his listeners to pay attention to how it all connects. Jesus clearly sees a time when He will no longer be there in person to lead them and encourage them. They will face what He has faced and will shortly face - trials, beatings, the threat of death - and all because of their allegiance to Him.

What Jesus' followers will face in the near and distant future will tempt them to panic. They/we must resist the temptation - they are only birthpains that are part of the birth process for the new life Jesus has promised.

Will Jesus' followers have the patience to hold on, and live at a place where the purposes of God and the pain of the world cross paths with each other?
